5 tips to brighten Dull skin

5 simple tips to brighten dull uneven skin

This time of year as seasons change it is normal for our skin to look a bit dull and in need of a boost ; we may notice more pigmentation which gives our skin a dull mottled look.; or perhaps more congestion from dead skin build up.

Here's what you can do:

1] Exfoliate at least 2 times a week with either a gentle scrub or an acid exfoliant that dissolves the bond between dead skin cells e.g lactic acid or salicylic found in Bright & Clear solution. EXTRA TIP:

mix either of these exfoliants with your cleanser to create an exfoliating cleanser and save time!!

2] Give yourself a home peel

The Enzymatic peel by Alumier MD contains 10% lactic acid & fruit enzymes to instantly brighten & freshen dull skin, it can be left on for up to 10mins according to skin sensitivity, remove with warm water & voila ! Instant soft velvety skin.

3] Try a Professional Peel

This is definitely not as scary as it sounds!

You may not even 'peel" as the title is just referring to 'the action' on the skin in dissolving dead skin cells. What it will do is give your skin an instant lease of life, make it feel incredibly clean & fresh and instantly luminous.

Like everything regularity is key e.g

For anti ageing : every 4 weeks is recommended

For pigmentation : every 3 weeks

For acne: Every 2 weeks

4] To improve overall skin tone a photofacial is excellent.

This is known as IPL:

IPL Skin Rejuvenation can safely and effectively reduce the appearance of freckles, pigmentation and post-trauma pigmentation such as acne scars and age spots.

A series of 4-5 treatments can significantly improve skin tone & improve skin laxity.

5] Use medical grade Vitamin C

L-Ascorbic Acid (USP grade): The only bioavailable form of vitamin C for the skin, L-ascorbic acid is a powerful antioxidant that protects cells from free radical damage caused by the sun and pollution. Vitamin C is essential for collagen synthesis, which helps reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. It also brightens and evens out skin tone.
