Anti-wrinkle injections are used to treat fine lines and wrinkles including the frown and forehead lines, and those around the eyes.

What can I expect?

Smoother skin and a younger more relaxed appearance. The effects begin within a few days and results typically last 3-4 months.

How do anti-wrinkle injections work?

They relax facial muscles, thereby smoothing out the overlying skin.

Is the treatment painful?

Very small needles are used so the injections are relatively painless.
Are there any side effects?

There may be a small amount of redness, swelling and bruising at the injection sites but this should resolve the same day. Serious side effects and allergic-type reactions are extremely rare.

Juvederm fillers

Fillers are used to restore facial shape and volume loss. They lift and tighten the skin and can also be used to soften lines, wrinkles and folds.

What results can I expect?

Depending on the treatment, a younger appearance with improved contours and/or a reduction in fine lines and folds. Results vary between individuals based on genetics and metabolism but typically last 9-12 months.

How do they work?

Fillers are made of hyaluronic acid, which is found naturally in the body although the amount we store reduces as we age and this causes the appearance of wrinkles, folds and sagging skin. Fillers replace the lost hyaluronic acid to restore volume and shape.

Is the treatment painful?

Fillers are injected with tiny needles and contain a local anaesthetic so that the treatments are relatively pain free, although some areas may be more sensitive than others.
Are there side effects?

Hyaluronic acid fillers are safe and serious side effects are rare. There may be some redness, swelling and bruising but these tend to be mild. There is a risk of infection, but this is very rare.

Profhilo

Profhilo is used to hydrate and drastically improve the appearance of the skin by tightening and lifting, as well as providing a glowing, younger appearance.

What results can I expect?

Profhilo involves two treatments, 4 weeks apart. You will notice an improvement in your skin within a few days of the first treatment but results will be more dramatic a few weeks after your second treatment. Effects typically last for 6 months after which you can have a top up.

How does Profhilo work?

Profhilo contains hyaluronic acid, which is found naturally in the body. The hyaluronic acid spreads under the skin providing a very natural plumping and hydrating effect, whilst stimulating the body’s own collagen and elastin to improve skin texture.

Is the treatment painful?

Profhilo is injected with tiny needles so is relatively pain free. Ten very small injections are given during each treatment.

Are there side effects?

Profhilo is safe and serious side effects are rare. There may be some redness, swelling and bruising but these tend to be mild. There is a risk of infection, but this is very rare.
How much does Profhilo cost?

Consultations are free and a package including the initial two treatments costs £600. Subsequent top ups are typically on a 6 monthly basis and cost £300
